P.P. Hathayogi Nikam Guruji was intensely involved in the field of yoga, ayurveda, sports and social activities since 1950. P.P. Nikam Guruji was genuinely interested in imparting ancient knowledge of yoga to all without any expectations to uplift suffering masses of the society. He always remained away from name, fame and publicity.

Initially, P.P. Nikam Guruji was conducting yoga seva activities from his own house in Mumbai & Thane. He retired from the Police department in 1977 and thereafter he helped the masses to maintain sound health through yoga sadhana. He dedicated his entire life for spreading yoga activities from Thane.

He boosted moral of yoga followers and trained them in spiritual sadhana for spreading the true message of yoga. Thus he transformed many lives into healthy living; mentally as well as physically.

Slowly and gradually people started taking interest in an ancient science of yoga. P.P. Nikam Guruji was not only imparting yoga to the interested sadhakas, but also helping poor, needy and sick in the area of health awareness, education, ayurvedic medicines and social activities etc.

In 1982, Shri. Ajit Pejawar came in contact with P.P. Nikam Guruji. He was highly impressed by Guruji's honesty, sincerity, integrity, humanity, humbleness and simplicity in serving the suffering mankind. He got attracted towards Guruji's selfless work and requested Guruji to open a branch in Dahisar, Mumbai. With full consent and personal guidance of P.P.Nikam Guruji, Shri. Ajitbhai Pejawar took initiative to start a yoga sadhana class in Dahisar area. With the help of like-minded people the first branch of Shri Ambika Yoga Kutir was opened in Dahisar, western suburbs on the auspicious day of Gudi Padava. The branch was inaugurated by Late Justice Samant.

This was the first branch opened by P.P. Nikam Guruji to spread the true message of swasthya yoga. The first branch of Dahisar was the inspiration for others to open the branches. Thereafter several branches were opened in India and abroad.

Popularity of P.P. Nikam Guruji's yoga seva mission started gaining momentum. Under the able guidance of Shri. Ajitbhai and his supporters, several other branches have been started in western suburbs of Borivali, Dahisar, Goregaon, Vileparle, Agashi & Arnala (Virar), Kelve, Palghar, Saphale and Canada.

All these yoga classes are being conducted with the silent blessings of P.P. Nikam Guruji, in the most discipline manners.

P.P. Nikam Guruji was always keen on starting a yoga centre for the village people and for this purpose he deputed Mr. Ajitbhai Pejawar to work on it.

Under the guidance and blessings of P.P. Nikam Guruji a charitable trust with the name of "Shri Ambika Yoga Nisargopachar Kendra" was formed and registered in 1992 in Rothe Village, Kelve Road (W), Tal. & Dist. Palghar. This centre is now known as "Shri Ambika Yoga Seva Kendra" with the blessings of P.P. Nikam Guruji.

Our Kendra is in a lush green environment. Our regular medical seva and treatment camps speak about the untiring efforts of our sevikas and sevaks from various branches, who participate in the dedicated seva. Kendra is now fully functional and has been well established during these years.

Total area of the Kendra is about 22 gunthas and is covered with proper fencing around the property. There are four structures surrounded by beautiful garden, various plants and a fountain.

 

1. Pundalik Dham :

Consists of meditation room, kitchen, dining hall, visitor's lobby and residential rooms on the first floor.

 

2. Seva Kutir (Parnakuti) :

This is where Guruji always used to sit and guide us. We now have P.P. Guruji's statue in this Kutir. Evening prayer (sarva dharma prarthana) by local children is performed on daily basis.

 

3. Dhyan Kaksha :

This is the highlight of our Kendra, an Ashtakoni Dhyana Mandir for the assembly of sadhkas-sadhikas for lectures, workshops, seminars etc.

 

4. Smt. Anusaya Pundalik Nikam Seva Sadan :

This premise is used for medical seva activities such as OPD, dental care, day care with two beds, store room for medicines, etc. We also have a separate office of the Kendra in this seva sadan.
